Fukuoka Travel Discount 2026: Up to 50% Off—A Guide for International Visitors

A relaxed dinner in Fukuoka, followed by an overnight stay with no need to rush for the last train. If that sounds like your kind of autumn trip, there is a new discount campaign to know about.
Bookings for the Kyushu Fukkou Ouenwari Fukuoka campaign began opening on September 24, 2026, as participating providers became ready. The campaign offers up to 50% off eligible accommodation and travel in Fukuoka Prefecture, subject to a discount limit.
Not every hotel or booking website offers the discount. International visitors can use the campaign, but the booking method matters. This guide explains the dates, savings and booking steps, including the restrictions on Rakuten Travel, and helps you choose where to stay. Fukuoka campaign dates and discount limits

Can you book with Rakuten Travel or Jalan yet?
As of September 26, 2026, we could not find a Fukuoka launch announcement or coupon on Rakuten Travel’s campaign page. Jalan’s Fukuoka section was still marked “Preparing.” The prefecture’s opening date does not mean that every booking website has started accepting campaign reservations.

On Rakuten Travel or Jalan, wait until Fukuoka campaign bookings are open and check the eligible plans. Rakuten Travel bookings made through its foreign-language website are excluded from this discount. On its Japanese website, you must apply an eligible coupon when booking; you cannot add it afterward. Collecting a coupon does not reserve funding: completed bookings take priority. On Jalan, you must sign in with a Recruit ID; guest bookings are excluded. Check Rakuten’s conditions and Jalan’s conditions (Japanese).
If you would like to arrange your stay sooner, use the accommodation list below to look for a property accepting direct campaign bookings. A room being available does not mean discount funding is available. If you need help in English, contact the property before booking and ask whether it can explain the application process in English.
Find participating accommodation (official Fukuoka list, Japanese)
How much could you save? A JPY 24,000 stay for two
For accommodation-only bookings, the discount is 50% of the eligible price, up to JPY 20,000 per person, per trip. Here are examples of what you would pay if all conditions are met and the discount is applied. All amounts are in Japanese yen (JPY).

These are calculation examples, not live prices or available rooms. They do not include other discounts. Accommodation tax and bathing tax are generally outside the discount and may need to be paid separately.
The key point is that the JPY 20,000 limit is per person, per trip—not per night. A stay of several nights does not give you a new JPY 20,000 allowance each night. Source: official FAQ (Japanese PDF).
For packages including transport and accommodation, the limits are JPY 20,000 for one night and JPY 30,000 for two or more nights. Qualifying tour packages with overnight stays in at least two prefectures have a JPY 35,000 limit. All limits are per person, per trip. Some qualifying packages that include an overnight stay in Kumamoto or Kagoshima have a discount rate of up to 60%. Booking methods differ: two accommodation examples
Even within the same campaign, each property may use a different booking process. These two examples come from official property announcements. They do not guarantee that rooms or discount funding are currently available.
Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk: book directly, then call
Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk asks guests to book through its official website or the Hilton Honors app, then telephone the hotel to request the Kyushu Fukkou Ouenwari discount. Only plans paid at the hotel are eligible. Prepaid bookings and bookings using points are excluded.

UNPLAN Fukuoka: direct website and phone bookings are excluded
UNPLAN Fukuoka says that bookings made directly through its website or by phone are not eligible for this campaign. Bookings through an accommodation booking website may qualify, but you must check that website’s opening dates and conditions. Source: UNPLAN Fukuoka’s official announcement (Japanese).
After finding a property, check which booking method and which plan qualify. Conditions for booking directly with a hotel do not necessarily apply to reservations through Rakuten Travel or Jalan.
Where to stay: choose an area that fits your trip
Alongside the saving, think about what you want to enjoy. I would start with where I want to have dinner and what I plan to do the next morning, then choose a convenient place to stay between the two. Here are a few ideas for planning your visit.

For a city break, you could leave your bags before check-in, explore Tenjin or Daimyo, and spend the evening at a restaurant you have wanted to try. For a hot spring stay, leave some space in your schedule and arrive before dinner. A lower room bill could be a reason to slow down and enjoy a little more of Fukuoka.
Compare prices using the same dates, number of guests and meal options. The links below open Japanese booking websites for general hotel searches. They are not campaign coupon links or lists of eligible hotels. Check the campaign’s opening status and conditions separately before booking. Switching to a foreign-language booking website does not guarantee that the same campaign is available.

Before you confirm your booking
- Are both your booking date and stay dates within the provider’s eligible periods?
- Do your property, plan and booking method qualify for the Fukuoka campaign? For Rakuten Travel, remember that foreign-language website bookings are excluded.
- If you are using a coupon, is the discount shown on the final booking screen? If you book directly, have you checked the application steps and when the discount becomes confirmed?
- What is the final total, including accommodation tax, meals, parking and any other charges?
- When do cancellation fees apply, and how much are they? Ask the property which identification and campaign documents to bring. For direct bookings, the official instructions (Japanese) include an identity check for the group representative and an application form.
If you already have a reservation, check its cancellation terms and the conditions of the new booking before cancelling. Cancellation fees are not covered by the campaign, and rooms or discount funding may run out while you rebook. Do not cancel simply because you expect the new reservation to be half price.
What about weekends, children and business travel?
The official Fukuoka FAQ says weekends and public holidays are included, and children and infants can count toward the number of eligible guests. Business travel, day trips and daytime room use without an overnight stay are excluded. Plan a little more time in Fukuoka this autumn
Kyushu Fukkou Ouenwari could make an overnight stay in Fukuoka more affordable. Start with the official campaign website (Japanese) to check what is available, then look for accommodation that suits your plans and budget.
You might enjoy a slow hotel breakfast, head out to a local café or relax at a hot spring inn. Choosing a stay around the things you enjoy could give you a little more time to discover Fukuoka.
