Fukuoka Travel Discount 2026: Up to 50% Off—A Guide for International Visitors

Enjoy dinner in Fukuoka, then stay the night. The Kyushu Fukkou Ouenwari Fukuoka campaign offers up to 50% off eligible accommodation and travel. On October 8, Jalan opened campaign bookings and then suspended them after reaching its budget limit. Meanwhile, additional applications for direct hotel discounts are scheduled to open Friday, October 9 at noon. Start by checking the latest status for each booking option.

Both Jalan’s domestic accommodation service and JAL/ANA Jalan Pack have announced that Fukuoka campaign bookings are suspended. All six Rakuten accommodation coupons and three Rakuten flight-and-hotel coupons also showed ended. These providers’ suspensions do not mean that the whole Fukuoka campaign has ended. What to check when booking websites suspend campaign discounts
Rakuten: check for reopening and choose the right area and number of nights
Start with Rakuten’s Fukuoka coupon page (Japanese) and check its latest display. Coupons may become available again after cancellations, but reopening and coupon availability are not guaranteed. If they still show ended, do not book expecting this discount.
- If coupons are available, choose the one for your hotel’s area: Fukuoka City, Kitakyushu City, or the rest of Fukuoka Prefecture.
- One-night coupons apply only to a one-night stay, with a discount limit of JPY 20,000 per person per night. Two-night coupons apply only to a two-night stay, with a limit of JPY 10,000 per person per night. Match the coupon to your stay length.
- Choose an eligible hotel and plan. Check the coupon and discounted total on the booking confirmation screen before completing the reservation.
Collecting a coupon does not reserve funding. Completed bookings take priority, and you cannot add the coupon after booking. The accommodation booking period is October 1 at 10:00 to December 15 at 23:59, but funding may run out sooner. Source: Rakuten’s dates and coupon conditions (Japanese).
Jalan: bookings suspended; what to check if they reopen
Jalan opened Fukuoka campaign bookings for domestic accommodation on October 8 at 10:00, but an official update that day announced a suspension after the budget limit was reached. Any reopening will be announced on its campaign page; no date or time has been given. The listed eligible stay period is October 8 check-in through December 16 check-out. - First check the campaign page for a reopening announcement. While bookings are suspended, do not book expecting the discount, even if your stay meets the eligibility conditions.
- If reopening is announced, sign in with a Recruit ID and choose an eligible plan for your dates, guests and number of rooms. Guest bookings are excluded.
- You do not need to collect the coupon in advance. On the payment information screen, check that campaign coupon use is selected and that the discount amount is shown. If it is not shown, the property or dates may be ineligible, or the budget limit may have been reached. Do not assume that the discount has been applied.
If you choose a regular plan, compare prices using the same dates, guests and meals. Making a regular booking now does not mean the discount will be added automatically if campaign bookings reopen. Newly listed opening dates are October 6 at noon for Meitetsu World Travel, October 7 at 15:00 for Jcation, and October 8 at 10:00 for NEEDS TOUR. Check each provider’s latest information, including Yahoo! Travel, for current discount availability and eligible products. An earlier opening date does not mean discounted bookings are still available.

Kyushu Fukkou Ouenwari supports tourism recovery after the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake. Existing reservations do not receive an automatic discount: you must use the specified booking option and application method. International visitors are eligible for the campaign, but bookings through Rakuten Travel’s foreign-language website are excluded. Check the conditions on Rakuten’s Japanese domestic accommodation website. Visitor eligibility and eligible booking channels are separate conditions. How much could you save? A JPY 24,000 stay for two
For accommodation-only bookings, the discount is 50% of the eligible cost, up to JPY 20,000 per person, per trip. Here are examples if the coupon and other conditions are met and the discount is applied. All amounts are in Japanese yen (JPY).

These are calculation examples, not live prices or available rooms. They do not include other discounts. Accommodation tax and bathing tax are generally outside the discount and may be charged separately.
The JPY 20,000 limit is per person, per trip—not per night. Rakuten’s two-night coupon also has a limit of JPY 10,000 per person per night. Packages with transport have limits of JPY 20,000 for one night or JPY 30,000 for two or more nights. Qualifying tours with overnight stays in at least two prefectures have a JPY 35,000 limit. All limits are per person, per trip. Some tours including stays in either Kumamoto or Kagoshima offer up to 60% off. Hakata, Tenjin or hot springs? Choose from five areas
To narrow your choices, decide where you want to spend the evening and where you will go the next morning. I would choose a hotel that makes it easy to get from dinner to the next day’s plans.

Additional direct hotel discount applications open Friday, October 9 at noon
An official October 8 notice announced that additional applications for direct hotel discounts will open Friday, October 9 at noon. Direct-booking applications outside Kitakyushu City had been suspended on September 28; this is a new announcement of additional applications. Before applications open, choose hotels from the official participating accommodation list (Japanese) and check each hotel’s official website for eligible plans, booking methods and application times. The application steps used earlier may not apply to this round.
Available rooms and campaign discount funding are separate. Before booking, check when the discount is confirmed, the total amount payable and the cancellation terms. Additional direct hotel applications do not mean that Rakuten or Jalan campaign bookings have reopened.
Five things to check before booking
- Do your booking date, stay dates and number of nights meet the provider’s and coupon’s conditions?
- Are your hotel, plan and booking channel eligible?
- Are the eligible coupon and discounted price shown during booking? For direct bookings, have you checked the hotel’s application status and confirmation steps?
- Is the total within your budget, including accommodation tax, meals, parking and other charges?
- Have you checked when cancellation fees apply, their amounts, and any identification or document requirements?
If you already have a reservation, check its cancellation terms and whether a new booking can receive the discount first. Cancellation fees are not covered, and rooms or funding may run out while you rebook. Do not cancel your original reservation just because you have collected a coupon.
What about weekends, children and business travel?
The official Fukuoka FAQ includes weekends and public holidays, and children and infants count toward eligible guest numbers.
