Nice to meet you — my name is Tattsu, and I run Explore Fukuoka.

About This Blog

This blog shares the charms of Fukuoka from the perspective of someone who actually lives here and personally visits each place.
From local food and walking around town to date spots and hidden neighborhood gems, I focus on introducing everyday, real-life Fukuoka that you won’t usually find on tourist websites.

One of the main themes of this blog is the date courses for couples and married partners that I visited together with my wife (who was my girlfriend at the time). I write each article based on real experiences, including the atmosphere of the place and how we spent our time there.

Fukuoka is also a very bicycle-friendly city, so I share cycling spot guides, a bicycle-parking map, rental-bike information, and other practical articles useful for getting around the city.

To make the blog enjoyable for visitors from overseas as well, many articles are also available in English.

My goal is to create a blog that shares the charms and appeal of Fukuoka with both people in Japan and visitors from around the world.

About the Author

I am a Fukuoka-based web designer and director.
At my local company, I work on website production, content management, and article writing.

On my days off, I enjoy walking around the city and discovering small, wonderful local shops together with my wife.
I started this blog, Explore Fukuoka, as a way to document those experiences so they can be useful to others.

This blog is built and operated using a WordPress theme I created myself — from design to coding, everything is handmade.

Comments and feedback on articles are always welcome.
