I Tried It: My Visit to Hakata Genki Ippai!!
Hakata Genki Ippai!! | A Creamy Bowl That Was Just Right for Me
Let’s start with Hakata Genki Ippai!! in Shimogofukumachi, a place I have eaten at myself. What I remember most is its creamy pork-bone broth.
I found the seasoning mild, and I liked the thin, glossy noodles too. This bowl had a character of its own, beyond the label “Hakata tonkotsu ramen.” It suited my taste so well that I called it “my new number one” in my article at the time.
The staff’s polite service also stayed with me. The relaxed atmosphere made the meal a pleasure. It was not just the flavor, but the whole experience that made this a memorable place for me.

It is an appealing choice when you want a meat dish with a lighter finish. Just a two-minute walk from Hakata Station’s Chikushi Exit, it is also handy to know when eating near the station.

Escargot and quiche at a yatai, or street food stall: that is what Chez Remy on Watanabedori offers. The show featured its pork trotter dish.
