This time, let me introduce you to the ramen restaurant “Ohshige Shokudo Main Branch.”
What is ‘Ohshige Shokudo Main Branch’ like?
The shop specializes in a unique ramen called “Saiphon Ramen DASHI,” where they use a siphon to extract the flavors of seven different types of broth (beef, pork, chicken, pufferfish, bonito, mackerel, and sardine). The soup is also known for its low calorie content, with each bowl containing less than 450 calories even when finished entirely.
And to my surprise, as I looked at the wall, I discovered something remarkable. The shop apparently won the WRGP (World Ramen Grand Prix) in 2017.
Ordered the “DASHI” ramen and a second serving with habanero noodles.
I ordered the “DASHI” ramen and got an extra serving of “Habanero Noodles.”
The “DASHI” ramen is simple yet flavorful, striking a perfect balance between lightness and richness. I also ordered the “Habanero Noodles” for a taste variation, and they were deliciously unique in their own way. However, be prepared for a delayed spiciness that kicks in later.
