I visited “Nagasakitei”, a champon specialty restaurant near Yakuin Station, where you can enjoy the true taste of Nagasaki!

You can park your bike at the Yakuin Station bicycle parking lot or in a small space in front of the restaurant—perfect for cyclists!

Trying the Champon

I ordered the standard Champon (¥950).
It may seem a bit pricey at first, but the generous portion and high quality will surprise you.

The soup is packed with rich flavors from pork bone and seafood. Creamy yet bold, and deeply comforting from the first sip.

What stood out most was the generous amount of squid—a must-have topping for champon lovers!

New Style: “Chan-Ra” with Ramen Noodles!

Nagasakitei offers something unique: extra noodles made with ramen-style thin noodles instead of the usual thick champon noodles! This idea came from customers asking, “Can I try it with ramen noodles?” and thus, the “Chan-Ra” was born.

The rich champon soup pairs perfectly with ramen noodles. Once you try it, you’ll get hooked! The extra noodles come with chopped green onions, adding fresh aroma and flavor as you eat.

The soup was so good, I planned to order extra noodles—but ended up drinking it all before I noticed! 😂

By the way, they also serve tonkotsu ramen. I’ll definitely try that next time!
