Beautiful lanterns
The biggest attraction of the Mitama Festival is the approximately 6,000 lanterns hung around the shrine grounds. These lanterns magically illuminate the shrine at night. The soft light from the lanterns creates a quiet and mystical atmosphere.
Besides lanterns, the Mitama Festival features a night market and food stalls. You can find tents with handmade crafts and antiques, and enjoy a variety of foods like skewers, curry, meats, beer, ice cream, and lemon sour.
