Kukinoumi Fireworks Festival
Every year, about 300,000 people visit the Dokai Bay Summer Fireworks Festival. A barge is set in the bay center for the fireworks. Around 4,500 fireworks explode overhead, creating a breathtaking spectacle.

Miyama Nouryou Fireworks Festival
The “Miyama Nouryou Fireworks Festival,” a summer tradition in Miyama since 1997, will have its final edition in 2024. Held in Miyama City, known as one of the leading fireworks production areas in Japan, the event features around 8,000 fireworks including large aerial shells and music synchronized displays crafted by local pyrotechnicians, adding a vibrant touch to its last summer. Food stalls will line the venue area as well.

Parking available (about 700 spaces) at Setaka Elementary School, Setaka Junior High School, and Miyama City Hall parking lot. |
Miyawaka Nouryou Fireworks Festival
The summer fireworks festival in Miyawaka, which features about 3,000 fireworks coloring the night sky, is a historic event celebrating its 52nd year.

Ashiya Fireworks Festival
The Ashiya Fireworks Festival is held on the Ongagawa River, upstream from the Ashiya Bridge in Fukuoka Prefecture. This event has a long history, dating back to the Taisho era, making it one of the oldest fireworks festivals in the prefecture. About 5,000 fireworks are launched from a floating platform, creating a breathtaking spectacle. There are also many food stalls set up around the venue.

Nogata Summer Festival 2024
In Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the “Nogata Oi-Yamakasai” and fireworks festival take place along the Ongagawa River. After the Yamakasa event, fireworks light up the night sky for an hour from the riverbank, marking the climax of the festival. The festival’s highlight, the “Niagara Falls,” offers a breathtaking spectacle on a grand scale.
